The Broncos rank 27th in yardage allowed (403.8 per game) and 21st in points allowed (25.7 per game) heading into Thursday's game against the Cardinals.

Analysis: Denver allowed 444 yards of offense to the Rams in Week 6 -- including 208 rushing yards from Todd Gurley -- but clamped down enough to hold the opposition to 23 points. This week's matchup will feature another young quarterback (Josh Rosen) on the opposing side, but he has yet to provide a major spark to an offense that ranks in the bottom two in the NFL in both points and yards per game. The Cardinals rank 21st with 10 giveaways, but six of those belong to QB Sam Bradford, who started the first three games of the season before handing the reins to Rosen. This is a solid matchup with streaming appeal for the Broncos on a short week of preparation, but they remain difficult to trust given their inconsistent performance thus far in 2018.

Hunt rushed 15 times for 86 yards and a touchdown, adding 55 yards and two more scores on five receptions (six targets) in Sunday's 45-10 win over the Bengals.

Analysis: Hunt's stat line was certainly impressive, but he stole the show early in the first quarter when he spun out of a tackle and hurdled a defender for a huge gain. Patrick Mahomes rewarded his back with a touchdown reception on that same drive. Hunt has really taken off over the last four weeks, averaging 148.8 yards from scrimmage and six total touchdowns over that span. The 23-year-old's ability to contribute both on the ground and through the air virtually makes him matchup-proof. That said, Hunt is lined up to face the Broncos' porous run defense (148.1 rushing yards allowed per game) in Week 8.

Mack rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries while catching two of three targets for 33 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-5 win over Buffalo. He was also successful on a two-point conversion on the ground.

Analysis: Mack converted a 4th-and-1 near midfield late in the first quarter, keeping alive a drive that ended with a touchdown by tight end Erik Swoope. The running back found himself doing the scoring on the Colts' next possession, finding paydirt on a 29-yard reception before adding a two-point conversion on the ground. Mack poured a little salt into Buffalo's wounds in the fourth quarter, scoring a 20-yard rushing touchdown to make it 37-5. Expect him to get the bulk of the rushing work against the Raiders in Week 8 following this breakout performance.

Mahomes completed 28 of 39 pass attempts for 358 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 45-10 win over Cincinnati. He added 45 rushing yards on four carries.

Analysis: Mahomes didn't need a second-half offensive explosion this time around on Sunday Night Football. The young gunslinger was firmly in control from start to finish, picking apart a helpless Bengals defense. Mahomes' biggest blemish on the night was an uncharacteristic underthrown ball to Tyreek Hill in triple coverage on a deep post that safety Shawne Williams picked off in the third quarter. It is interesting to note that head coach Andy Reid had Mahomes and the rest of the Chiefs' offense pushing full-steam ahead even with a 38-10 lead in the fourth quarter, throwing deep passes and even going for it on a fourth-and-long. While that could be considered unsportsmanlike, it certainly has Mahomes' fantasy owners grinning at the prospects of more fantasy points even when games are out of reach. The 23-year-old will lead the league's most dynamic offense into battle against the Broncos on Sunday.

Gurley carried 15 times for 63 yards and two touchdowns Sunday against the 49ers. He also caught four of five targets for 23 yards and another touchdown in the 39-10 win.

Analysis: Gurley averaged an acceptable 4.2 yards per carry, but the blowout nature of the game allowed Malcolm Brown to record a season-high 13 totes of his own. The All-Pro still did plenty of damage with his 19 touches, including a pair of short touchdown runs and a 12-yard reception for a score to take his total to an eye-popping 14 in seven games this season. Gurley is in the midst of a truly special campaign and is averaging 136.6 scrimmage yards per game as well. He'll look to produce more of the same next Sunday against the Packers.
